About Me

Matthew Moore is a 5th year Architectural Engineering Student at the Pennsylvania State University. Matthew will be graduating in May 2019 with a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering and a Minor in History.

During the Summer of 2018 Matthew was a Structural Engineering Intern with Providence Engineering Corporation. As an intern he participated in the design process of several projects ranging in occupancy, structural material, and scope. This provided the opportunity to supplement all of the information and knowledge acquired in the classroom with experience within the industry. In addition, Matthew was exposed to the broad range of building codes and standards across the country by participating in the review of structural plans from different parts of the country. Upon graduation, Matthew is hoping to build his professional career as a Structural Engineer by obtaining his PE and SE.

Outside of academics, Matthew is the President of the Structural Engineers Association (SEA) and was a part of the mentorship team with the Student Society of Architectural Engineers (SSAE). Matthew was also a member of the Pennsylvania State University Marching Blue Band and Enactus. In his spare time, Matthew enjoy playing volleyball and listening to music.
